Pre covid - the Frank Turner gig was the best concert I ever went to..

Single Handley responsible for promoting an Englishness that is devoid of any of the horrible connotations that can be wrapped in St George’s flag.

A complex enigma of an artist… privileged, damaged, lyrical and humble.

A constant gigger .. who is on the road more than Amazon.. His words echo the kind of beauty that is normally found in the seriousness of precious poetry.

Punk roots, with heavy metal over tones are never really far away.. but they are wrapped in a folk guitar with singer / song writer sensibilities .

His music challenges and comforts. He deserves to be a national treasure as he promotes the best and fragilities of all of us.

This artwork is drawn with CaranD’ache pencils and Faber and Castell inks.. it was an absolute joy to work out the sense of a man in the middle of moment with stage lighting.

This is the second artwork we’ve drawn of Frank Turner.. a great way to celebrate the dropping of his 10th Album - undefeated.
